In 1921 William Velting, Sr. started into business with a team of horses and a slush scraper for excavating basements. As time went on William Velting & Sons grew into Velting Contractors, Inc. Since then Velting Contractors, Inc. has become the oldest and one of the most respected excavating companies in Western Michigan.
